Probite discs and pads are Regulation 90 (ECE R90) approved and certified for road use in the EU.
We always recommend either slotted or grooved for optimum performance, but any machined finish will perform better over a plain face disc. It must be noted that the extra performance gained comes with increased pad wear and dust. All machined disc finishes help with initial bite (especially in wet conditions), help prevent galling of pad compounds, help promote even pad wear and increase surface area to aid in cooling of the disc.
